I Still Love My Ghetto

Happy Sunday, the sun is back!

As promised, a post on my recent trip to Paris!

Well it started with someone not bringing their passport to check-in for our departure on the Eurostar (wasn't me before you ask!). Thankfully we were able to change our tickets for a later train so we only lost out on a couple of hours.
Our host for this trip was my old housemate Thomas, and my what a host he was! There was cheese and wine on arrival, a 90's party by the Moulin Rouge and a 6am hike up to the Sacré Coeur for a view of the city, and this was just our first night!

The next day was very wet and windy, so we spent a lot of the day popping in and out of shops and made a visit to the most amazing wine cellar I've ever seen. I did manage to get the first outfit post of the trip though!

This fun and colourful wall of graffiti was just screaming at me for a photo! My outfit was very dark - black and navy is a favourite colour pairing of mine, so the bright colours made a great contrast, especially with the dreadful weather. The black  leather jacket is from Topshop but was a gift from my friend Scarlet. I've paired it with my black leather shorts from Debenhams, navy Gerard Darel jumper (check out the last picture to see what it says!), navy knitted tights and navy Converse hi-tops.

Here are some more photos of the day, including that wine cellar and beautifully decorated glass roof of a department store.

I'll be back with day 2 from Paris featuring, you guessed it, the Eiffel Tower!! Thanks for reading =]

Rumble In The Jumble

Evening!

Here's another catch up outfit post. This one is from when me and Chloe went to the Rumble in the Jumble, which was organised by Radio 1's Gemma Cairney and charity community The Music Circle. We had visited the event last year and found it so amazingly brilliant we went again this year. It's basically a massive jumble sale in East London with loads of clothing, shoes, accessories, music and books all donated by celebrities, bands and big brands. We found some great bargains and what's more all proceeds go to a great cause! Keep a lookout on their Facebook page for the next event - it's not to be missed!

Here's what I wore to this years event.

My black velvet shirt is a great vintage find from Rokit in Covent Garden, I felt very Wednesday Addams. It's actually a child's dress but I managed to squeeze into it! As it wasn't quite long enough to be a dress on me, I wore some black leather shorts underneath from Debenhams. On my feet are those favourite checked boots of mine!

Remember my love for photobooths? Well guess what they had set up in the corner of the jumble...?

We picked up some great new pieces of clothing and I can't wait to start showing them all off on the blog soon! Sorry for the short but sweet post. I'll make up for it with my next post for it will be jam packed from my recent trip to Paris!! So until then, au revoir! X

Something Old, Something Blue

Wedding season is definitely upon us, it seems everyone is at it! My 2 very dear friends Russell and Bernie recently did it and what a wonderful celebration of their love it was. Here's what I wore!

Sorry for the bad quality photo. This was the only one I managed to get of my full outfit on the day. Not only is this dress something old (vintage) but it's also something blue, so perfect for a wedding! I picked up this lovely dress over 2 years ago from a vintage fair in Shoreditch. It had been hung up in my wardrobe since the day I bought it just waiting for my friends wedding...and finally, the day had arrived! My inspiration for this look was  Zooey Deschanel's character in 500 Days of Summer.

I decided to go super cute and girly and wear my blue t-bar heels with these sweet frilly socks from Primark. They really did bring the whole outfit together. The shoes are by Topshop which I bought from a car boot sale for a bargain price of £1!! The hardest part of putting this getup together was finding a bag...

This glitzy clutch is from Peacocks. The crochet detailing helped keep a vintage feel to my outfit. It was the perfect size for me and the cream colour means it will basically go with pretty much anything.

My date for the special occasion was Luke :)

We travelled to the reception in style!

And check out the cute little name tags on the table. It was just before Easter, so the little buckets of eggs was a great touch!

There was also a photobooth with props, so of course we made a few trips inside...quite a lot of trips actually!

A massive congratulations to Mr and Mrs Nelson. Thank you for inviting us to your amazingly special day. Love these guys so much!!

Brockwell Pop

Happy Sunday folks!!

I've just had a sunbathe on the roof, armed with a book of Sudoku and my favourite songs. Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine. Make the most of it, I hear there's rain to come later this week. Now for today's outfit post. This is from a while back when London had it's first full day of sunshine at the end of March.

This lush colour blocking suede skirt is another magnificent vintage find from Pop Boutique, who not only sell vintage clothing but also make their own vintage inspired clothes which you can find on Asos! The colours are to die for and I love that the sides are different colours. I've paired it with this sweet heart print chiffon top from Oasap.

I spent to day with my best friend Chloe, exploring her nearest park in Herne Hill, Brockwell Park. We had a spot of lunch at the Lido Cafe (scrambled egg in the sun has never tasted so good!) and took in the wonderful views of London. In the evening we went to a little gig at The Islington where we danced the night away to a great little band called The Fresh Dixie Project. They play all over the the UK and even made an appearance at a festival in Germany, so be sure to check them out!

Who's ready for some more photos? Good, because we took loads!

Thanks for reading. Don't be shy, come say hi!!

I'll be back very soon with a very vintage wedding guest look. You can like my Facebook Page or follow me on Twitter for sneak peeks before I post.

Bye for now! X

Absolute Vintage

What glorious weather we've been having here in London!

Those of you who follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, will have had a sneak peek of today's outfit. So without further ado...

This beaut of a shirt is a vintage number from Absolute Vintage near Brick Lane. That shop is my kind of paradise! My black skater skirt is an essential buy from H&M and these adorable shoes are from ASOS.

Excuse the state of me tights, but check out that mini mirrored heel! I could dance all night in these. Unfortunately they're all sold out but I did find this similar pair.
Now, back to that shirt...

We all know I'm a sucker for stripes, but that's not the only reason I fell for this shirt. I love all the little details that make it so different. The bows on the sleeves are super cute and girly. And just look at those adorable buttons!

I'm headed to Brighton (again!) tomorrow, so hopefully I'll come back with some more vintage goodies to show you all. Wish you all a wonderful weekend. If you're headed on a road trip, be sure to check out the playlist below that I compiled for Relay Rides. Toodles!!

Green Velvet

Howdy folks!

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine, though it'll probably be raining again by the time I've finished this post! I hope you all like green because this post is very. This is part 2 of my St Patrick's Day celebrations. Here's what I wore for the evening drinks with my cousins.

My green velvet dress is from Romwe. Unfortunately it's all sold out on their website, but they have hundreds of other pretty dresses to choose from. My tortoise shell sunnies are from Spitalfields Market.

The best thing about this dress, apart from the super soft velvet touch, is the sweet bow detail and open back. So very girly and totally me!

Check out this little guy lounging around in my Aunty's garden. How cute!

This week I was approached by Relay Rides to share my road trip essentials. Relay Rides is a peer-to-peer car rental service, so whether you're looking for a car to rent or fancy making some dosh by hiring out your own car, this is the site for you! As festival season is upon us, I decided to make a Spotify playlist of my top tracks for when you're on the road. Get ready for lots of acoustic guitars and singalong classics.

Spotify don't do The Beatles, which sucks but did make compiling the list a little easier, so Ike and Tina's rendition of 'Get Back' will have to do. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for reading!
